Account Information

When you create an account or sign in, we may collect information such as:

• Authentication provider information when using services such as Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In

We use this information to create and secure your account, synchronize your data, and allow you to access StudyHero across supported devices.

Academic and User-Created Content

StudyHero allows you to enter information related to your academic life, including:

• Instructors
• Assignments
• Projects and milestones

• Notes
• Calendar events
• Todos
• Grades
• GPA information
• Attendance information
• Study and Pomodoro sessions
• Reminder preferences
• Academic goals and onboarding preferences

This information is provided by you and is used to deliver StudyHero's organization, planning, study, GPA, and productivity features.

StudyHero does not independently verify academic information you provide.

Subscription and Purchase Information

StudyHero may receive information about your subscription status, entitlement status, trial eligibility, purchase history, and subscription product from Apple and our subscription infrastructure provider.

StudyHero does not receive or store your complete payment card information. Payments made through the App Store are processed by Apple.

Device and Diagnostic Information

We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate and improve StudyHero, such as:

• Device type
• Operating system version
• App version
• Crash reports
• Error logs
• Diagnostic information
• Anonymous or pseudonymous technical identifiers

This information is primarily used to identify bugs, maintain application reliability, prevent abuse, and improve StudyHero.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, StudyHero may process notification-related identifiers and reminder preferences so that requested reminders can be delivered.

You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

We use collected information to:

• Provide and operate StudyHero
• Create and authenticate your account
• Synchronize your academic information
• Save your courses, notes, assignments, projects, grades, and other content
• Provide GPA and academic planning tools
• Provide study timers and study history
• Deliver reminders and notifications you request
• Verify Premium subscription status

• Provide customer support

• Improve application performance and reliability
• Protect StudyHero from fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access

We do not use your academic information to make decisions regarding your admission, employment, creditworthiness, or eligibility for education.

StudyHero does not sell your personal information.

StudyHero does not sell your academic information.

StudyHero does not use your personal academic data for third-party targeted advertising.

If these practices change in the future, this Privacy Policy and applicable consent mechanisms will be updated before such processing occurs.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no internet-based service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live, including countries where our service providers operate their infrastructure.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal information.

We generally retain account information and StudyHero content for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide the service.

If you delete your StudyHero account, personal information and user-created content associated with your account will be deleted or anonymized unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or other legitimate legal purposes.

Residual copies may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are routinely overwritten or deleted.

Subscription transaction records may also be retained by Apple or other payment-related service providers according to their own legal and accounting obligations.

You may request deletion of your StudyHero account directly from within the StudyHero application.

Deleting your account will initiate deletion of the account and associated personal StudyHero data, except information that must legally be retained.

Deleting StudyHero from your device does not automatically delete your StudyHero account.

If you have an active App Store subscription, deleting your StudyHero account does not necessarily cancel the subscription managed by Apple. You should manage or cancel your subscription separately through your Apple Account subscription settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

StudyHero is primarily designed for students and is not directed specifically at children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization where required by law.

If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.

StudyHero provides organization, planning, GPA calculation, attendance, productivity, and study-support tools.

Calculations and recommendations within StudyHero are provided for informational and organizational purposes.

University grading systems, academic policies, credit calculations, attendance requirements, and course rules vary between institutions.

Users should verify important academic information with their university, school, instructor, or official academic records.

We may update this Privacy Policy when StudyHero's functionality, legal obligations, or data practices change.

When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be updated.

Material changes may also be communicated through the application or other appropriate means.
