Terms of Use

StudyHero is a university study companion designed to help users organize academic information and study activities, including courses, assignments, projects, notes, calendars, GPA information, attendance, todos, reminders, and focus sessions.

StudyHero is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any university, college, school, or educational institution unless explicitly stated otherwise.

You must be legally permitted to use StudyHero and enter into these Terms under the laws applicable to you.

If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms yourself, StudyHero may only be used with authorization from a parent or legal guardian where required.

Certain StudyHero functionality requires an account.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate account information
• Keeping access to your account secure
• Protecting your authentication credentials
• Activities performed through your account

You must notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You may not impersonate another person or use StudyHero for unlawful or abusive purposes.

StudyHero offers Premium functionality through auto-renewable subscriptions.

Available subscription plans, prices, durations, introductory offers, and free trials are displayed before purchase.

Payment is processed through the Apple App Store for purchases made through the iOS application.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled in accordance with Apple's subscription rules.

Prices may differ depending on country, currency, applicable tax, or changes permitted by Apple.

Eligible users may receive a 14-day free trial on the eligible yearly StudyHero Premium subscription when such an offer is available.

Eligibility for introductory offers is determined by Apple.

At the end of the free trial, the subscription will automatically convert to the paid yearly subscription at the price displayed during purchase unless the subscription is cancelled before renewal.

Starting a trial may require confirmation through your Apple Account even though you are not immediately charged the subscription price.

The exact offer presented on Apple's purchase confirmation screen controls in the event of any discrepancy.

StudyHero may offer monthly and yearly subscription options.

The subscription price and billing period are displayed before you confirm your purchase.

A monthly subscription renews according to its monthly billing period.

A yearly subscription renews according to its annual billing period.

The full amount charged for the relevant subscription period will be shown during the purchase flow.

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple Account.

You may manage or cancel your subscription through Apple's subscription settings.

Cancellation prevents future renewal but generally does not immediately terminate access that has already been paid for. Premium access normally continues until the end of the current entitlement period.

Deleting your StudyHero account or uninstalling StudyHero does not itself guarantee cancellation of your App Store subscription.

StudyHero provides functionality allowing eligible App Store purchases to be restored.

Purchase restoration is subject to the Apple Account originally associated with the purchase and Apple's applicable rules.

Payments and refunds for purchases made through Apple's App Store are processed according to Apple's applicable payment and refund policies.

StudyHero cannot directly issue App Store refunds where Apple controls the transaction.

When a trial or Premium subscription expires, some StudyHero functionality may become unavailable or restricted.

StudyHero may continue to provide limited functionality to previously subscribed users.

Existing information may remain accessible according to the functionality provided by the current version of StudyHero.

StudyHero will not intentionally delete your account solely because your Premium subscription expires.

Premium functionality may become available again after an eligible subscription is renewed or restored.

StudyHero is a productivity and organization tool.

StudyHero is not an official academic record system.

GPA calculations, target calculations, grade scenarios, attendance information, course information, reminders, and other academic calculations may depend on information supplied by you.

StudyHero does not guarantee:

• A particular GPA
• Academic success
• Passing a course
• Admission to an educational institution
• Accuracy of university-specific grading policies
• That reminders will always be delivered at a particular time
• That information entered by the user is correct

You are responsible for confirming official grades, deadlines, attendance rules, course requirements, and academic policies with your educational institution.

You retain ownership of the original information and content you enter into StudyHero.

You grant StudyHero the limited rights necessary to host, process, synchronize, display, back up, and otherwise handle that information solely as necessary to operate and provide StudyHero.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you enter does not violate applicable law or the rights of another person.

You may not use StudyHero to:

• Violate applicable law
• Attempt unauthorized access to StudyHero systems or another user's account
• Circumvent subscription controls
• Reverse engineer StudyHero except where such restriction is prohibited by law
• Introduce malicious software
• Interfere with the operation or security of the service
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities
• Use automated systems to abuse the service
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Engage in fraudulent or abusive activity

StudyHero, including its application design, branding, software, graphics, original illustrations, logos, text, and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to the StudyHero developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of StudyHero or its intellectual property to you.

Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use StudyHero for its intended purposes on compatible devices that you own or control, subject to Apple's applicable usage rules.

We aim to keep StudyHero available and reliable, but availability cannot be guaranteed at all times.

StudyHero may occasionally be unavailable due to:

• Maintenance
• Technical problems
• Third-party service interruptions
• Network problems
• Security events
• Platform changes
• Circumstances outside our reasonable control

We may modify, improve, add, remove, or discontinue functionality when reasonably necessary.

StudyHero depends on third-party platforms and infrastructure, which may include hosting, authentication, subscription processing, crash reporting, notifications, and App Store services.

Use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary if a user:

• Materially violates these Terms
• Misuses StudyHero
• Attempts to compromise security
• Engages in fraudulent activity
• Creates legal or security risks for StudyHero or other users

Where appropriate and legally required, reasonable notice will be provided.

You may stop using StudyHero at any time and may delete your account using the account deletion functionality provided in the application.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StudyHero is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that StudyHero will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every educational institution or grading system.

Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the StudyHero developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages resulting from use of or inability to use StudyHero.

This includes, where legally permitted, academic consequences resulting from incorrect information entered by users, missed reminders, inaccurate assumptions about institution-specific requirements, or reliance on unofficial calculations.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

We may update these Terms when StudyHero, our business practices, or applicable legal requirements change.

The "Last Updated" date will indicate the latest revision.

When StudyHero is downloaded through Apple's App Store, your use of the application is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and usage rules.

Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for StudyHero except to the extent required by applicable law or Apple's own terms.

Unless StudyHero provides a separate custom End User License Agreement through App Store Connect, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.
